Celebrating Form and Function With Hans J Wegner Furniture

Danish furniture designer Hans J Wegner, well-respected and admired for his exceptional designs and craftsmanship, discovered his love for wood at an early age. He developed his skills with wood-crafting while working as a young apprentice for master cabinet maker H.F. Stahlberg. He found the chance to experiment with wood designs at the workshop. As a young man, he pursued his passion with a degree in the Danish School of Arts and Crafts and later on at the Architectural Academy in Copenhagen. It was with these academic backgrounds and exposure to both fields that he developed an astute eye for wood design.
